Get involved

Your views, opinions and ideas can help us to provide an excellent housing management service for all our tenants.

It is up to you how much you would like to be involved…

Getting involved doesn’t need to mean giving up hours of your time. We have designed a range of ways you can participate.

Contact your local office to find out about any of the following:

  • Interested Tenants’ Register – give your views on a variety of topics by email, phone, post or at local meetings;
  • stair or close meetings – meet with housing staff to discuss any issues or suggestions you have for your close, street or development; and
  • Tenant Led Inspections – join our team of tenant inspectors and help us make meaningful changes to specific services and processes.

Tenant Participation Strategy 2019

Our Tenant Participation (TP) Strategy outlines how our tenants can take part in Hillcrest’s decision making and how they can influence decisions about housing services, policies and procedures and conditions.

Hillcrest Action for Residents and Tenants (HART)

HART is our independent tenant-led group which monitors and scrutinises Hillcrest’s performance. As tenant volunteers their role is to help us improve services by assessing our performance and making recommendations for change. This is achieved by carrying out in depth reviews of key service areas and working together to deliver positive change, improve outcomes and achieve better value for money.

The current tenant members of HART are:

  • Fiona Doran
  • Harry Howie
  • Donna Ross
  • John Swankie
  • Lorna Weir
