Posted: October 29, 2019

Dundee-based Hillcrest Futures took home the Social Impact Business of the Year award at Saturday night’s The Courier Business Awards 2019.

Receiving the award for our commitment to reducing social exclusion and promoting wellbeing, we saw off stiff competition from the other shortlisted organisations, Dundee Contemporary Arts, GrowBiz, Perth Autism Support SCIO and Rossie Young People’s Trust.

Hillcrest Futures supports people with physical and learning disabilities, mental health issues, Autism, homelessness, addictions and older people.

On collecting the award Hillcrest Futures managing director Joy Dunlop said: “We are delighted for our efforts to be recognised by the judges at such a prestigious event.

“We offer varying levels of support to people in different settings, but in each case we are there to make a difference to people and support them to live full and vibrant lives.

“Our staff and volunteers are our greatest asset and are at the heart of our core values. Winning this award is the recognition they deserve for their hard work and commitment.”

The Courier Business Awards, in association with MHA Henderson Loggie, was founded in 2013 to recognise successful businesses and individuals across Angus, Dundee, Fife and Perthshire.

Held at the Apex City Quay Hotel in Dundee, the seventh annual black tie event featured 24 categories of awards celebrating a range of industries and businesses both large and small.
