Hillcrest contract creates job opportunities

Posted: June 18, 2019

Hillcrest recently appointed The Furnishing Service (TFS) to supply home furnishing services for our temporary and supported accommodations, as well as our mid-market rent properties based on a quality and cost assessment.

TFS supply a core range of stock including large items, white goods and carpets within a 48 hour period allowing a quick turnaround for re-letting properties. They can also source other products as required.

TFS delivers a variety of employability initiatives for a diverse range of people including those who are long term unemployed, adults linked to supported employment and young people from additional support for learning and mainstream schools.

They have employed two modern apprentices as a direct result of winning the Hillcrest contract. Ronan Drummond and Jaxon Scott, based in TFS’s new warehouse in Edinburgh, deal with incoming orders that are ready to deliver. The company is committed to securing permanent positions for the pair at the end of their apprenticeships.

Hillcrest’s three year contract with TFS started in September 2018.
