Hillcrest contract creates job opportunities for young people

Posted: October 18, 2019

Since successfully winning a landscape contract with Hillcrest Homes, Angus Council has been able to employ two young apprentices for the next three years.

Xander Cowan and Mark Northorpe both attend Dundee and Angus College and are working towards achieving an SVQ Level 3 in Amenity Horticulture.

Apprenticeships provide high quality work-based learning which is ideal for those how are keen to gain qualifications, but do not wish to continue on with full time education in a classroom environment.
