A team of fundraisers from the Hillcrest Group visited Ward 32 and the Breast Care Team at Ninewells Hospital on Thursday to hand over the proceeds of a year of fundraising activities.
The Tequila Mockingbird team, consisting of staff from Hillcrest’s maintenance, property and customer service departments, raised over £10K for Ward 32, Breast Cancer and Archie Foundation.
Team member, Carol Shearer said: “We were amazed by the total we raised for these wonderful charities – it’s incredible what you can achieve by working together.”
“To raise the money we hosted a party night, undertook a cycling challenge, opened a pop up charity shop, and one of the team even climbed Kilimanjaro!”
The money was raised as part of the Hillcrest Group’s 50 Grand to Lend a Hand staff challenge.
With 50 Grand to Lend a Hand, part of the Hillcrest Housing Association’s 50th Anniversary celebrations, Hillcrest staff from across Scotland put on various events to raise over £66K, beating their £50K challenge, for a range of charities and good causes.
