Don your dandiest outfit to protect stroke recovery

Posted: March 18, 2019

At the end of this month, a service that is helping people to live again fully after their stroke will stop as there’s not enough money to keep it going.

To do something about this, Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland are looking for volunteers to don their dandiest outfits or look menacing in stripes as they take part in a bucket shake campaign to raise the valuable funds.

Volunteers will shake their buckets on the 23rd or 24th of March, as Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland aims to raise £30k in 30 days to help continue the full spectrum of support for those in the region recovering from strokes.

Dress up as your favourite comic book character and take to the streets of Perth or Dundee to make sure that no life is only half lived after a stroke.  Come for an hour or for the whole session – it’s up to you!

The Comic Book Bucket Shake days are:

Saturday 23rd March: 11 am to 3 pm, Perth City Centre.  Meet at the Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland Shop at 44-50 High St, Perth PH1 5TQ.

Sunday 24th March:  12 pm to 4 pm, Dundee City Centre.  Meet at the Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland Shop at 16 Reform St, Dundee DD1 1RG.
