About Us
Northern Housing Company Ltd (NHC) was orginally established in 1996 to continue the activities of the former Northern Housing Association.
As a charity NHC takes pride in the provision of affordable housing for the benefit of the community at discounted "mid-market" rents for people on limited incomes.
With over 430 flats in Dundee and Perth offering a variety of types, sizes and locations, NHC makes available accommodation for rent to individuals and families. These include cottage flats and bungalows on managed estates through to traditional tenement properties.
The rent itself is generally discounted from open market rent by around 15 - 20% and, in addition, with services not normally provided by private landlords (stair cleaning, gardening, close management) included in the rent.
We have built up a positive reputation for contributing to the restoration and regeneration of once derelict areas in Dundee by acquiring and modernising whole or near whole tenement blocks.
