Hillcrest Angus Open Day
Hillcrest tenants made their way to the Saltire Centre, Arbroath, on Saturday to find out more about the services Hillcrest offer, hear from other organisations and get any queries they had answered by Hillcrest staff.
Kirsteen Beeching, Hillcrest Area Manager, commented that “It was great to meet with the tenants that came along. We are committed to continuous improvement and an event like this helps us to gather feedback from our customers and take their views on board.
“A number of tenants spent time talking to members of staff, getting their queries answered and finding out what improvements are planned for their properties.”
The open day was also an opportunity for tenants to get energy efficiency advice, information on neighbourhood watch schemes and advice on healthy living. For the kids who came along, there was a bouncy castle, treasure hunt and lots of other games.
Graeme Dey, MSP for Angus South was invited along to the event to allow tenants to ask any questions they had specifically about his area. Graeme commented that “It was a pleasure to be asked to help open Hillcrest’s Tenants Open Day at the Saltire Centre.
“I know the work Hillcrest carries out is substantial in the local area and they are a vital partner in our drive to ensure housing is accessible to as many people as possible in Angus South.
“As MSP for the constituency, I am well aware of how massive an issue housing is. The Tenants’ Open Day was a brilliant opportunity to speak with as many residents as possible in order to hear what, if any, concerns they had.
“I very much look forward to working with Hillcrest and all of our housing associations and organisations to make sure my constituents can access affordable housing where and when they need it.”
