TENANTS’ FAYRE FIRST OF ITS KIND IN DUNDEE

Dennis the Menace officially opened Dundee’s first tenants’ Fayre for all council and housing association tenants on Saturday at the Caird Hall.

This event was the result of months of partnership working between the various Housing Associations and Dundee City Council’s Housing Department. Providing a first class service to the City’s tenants is a priority for all landlords and the Tenants’ Fayre offered a wealth of information and advice to help people lower their costs, receive an improved service and live in a safer and more sustainable community.

Carol Petrie, Hillcrest Housing Association’s Tenant Participation Officer, commented that “This year’s Fayre is the first time all of Dundee landlord’s have worked in this way together. By working together we have managed to reduce costs and offer more information to everyone coming along. As well as specific information about services offered by your landlord there was lots of information on money advice services, recycling initiatives, safety in the community and lots more.”
