Dundee City Council’s Anti-Social Behaviour Team helps tenants and landlords to deal with all aspects of Anti-Social Behaviour. When you make a complaint an Investigation Officer will speak to you about the problems you are having and they will work alongside your Housing Officer to investigate the matter. |

Night Time Noise Team 0300 111 2222 |
Dundee City Council’s Night Time Noise Team deal with unacceptable levels of noise during the evening and into the night and work from Thursday to Sunday between 7pm and 4am. They will assess the noise by coming out and simply listening to how loud it is, or by actually measuring the noise level. The investigating officers can issue verbal and written warnings and have the noise lowered or stopped altogether. They also have the power to issue fixed penalty notices and confiscate TVs, stereos and other sound equipment. Officers may need to gain access to your property in order to assess the noise otherwise they may not be able to completely resolve the matter for you. Your calls will be put through to Tayside Police who will then forward your details to the Night Time Noise Team. |

Community Wardens 01382 436333 |
The Community Wardens patrol throughout Dundee, 7 days per week from 2.40pm until midnight. They work specifically to target low level crime and anti-social behaviour that can have a negative impact on an area e.g. vandalism, graffiti, litter. They do this by patrolling the streets and getting to know communities. They are highly visible and will report any incidents which require further action from relevant agencies. They can be contacted if you have concerns about low level crime or anti-social behaviour in your area. |

The team can respond to issues which affect areas now owned by Hillcrest or areas adopted by the local authority. They provide a quick response to complaints about litter, dog fouling and graffiti which can affect public areas and detract from people’s enjoyment of their local environment. |

Graffiti Removal |
If you find graffiti on any buildings or areas which are not owned by Hillcrest, council staff will come out and remove it. Graffiti refers to any drawings, scribbles pictures, messages or tags that are painted, or written on walls and other surfaces. Graffiti is a community problem and research has shown that the quicker graffiti is cleaned off the easier it is to remove. Residents are asked to contact the Hillcrest Repairs Line on 08000 324 888 if they find graffiti on any Hillcrest buildings or property. |

Animal Control Service 01382 436288 |
Issues such as dog barking and fouling are dealt with by the Animal Control Service, as well as collecting stray and abandoned dogs. Around 4 million dog bags are given out free of charge in Dundee every year. You can get these bags from any local council office. There are around 1300 dog waste bins situated around Dundee so there is no excuse for leaving dog mess in your community. There are 3 Animal Control Officers who patrol and monitor the city to ensure people comply with legislation relating to dog fouling and animal control. They will also respond to complaints about barking or dangerous dogs. If you have witnessed an incident in your area please contact the Animal Control Service. |

Dundee City Council is responsible for your refuse bins and collection. Any problems with collections should be directed to them in the first instance. Did you know that you can apply for an Assisted Collection if you are having difficulty taking your wheelie bin to the kerbside on collection days. Phone the number above for more details. |

Special Collections 01382 432750 |
We encourage all residents to avoid leaving large bulk items in their garden or common areas. The council provides all householders with a Special Collection Service to uplift large items such as sofas, beds, furniture, white goods and carpets. You can have up to 6 items uplifted from outside your property (ground level) for £12.00. The council will not uplift items such as car batteries, paint tins chemicals or tyres. Contact Special Collections on 01382 432750 between 9 am and 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday to pay for this service by credit or debit card. Payment can also be made by Cash or Cheque at Environment Department Offices, East or West District Housing Offices and Community Libraries across the city. |

Crimestoppers is a free-phone number which allows members of the public to pass on information about crime. It guarantees anonymity and callers don’t have to give their name or any personal information. Calls cannot be traced and no-one will find out who passed on the information. This means that you won’t have to appear in court of give a statement to police. |
