Hillcrest has undertaken its own development for over 30 years building over 5,000 homes for ourselves and other RSLs.
Excellence
We pride ourselves on high design quality and have produced many award-winning projects from the Upper Dens development in Dundee to the more recent refurbishment of Gilmour's Close in Edinburgh.
Impact
As well as simply providing good, affordable homes for people in need our development projects have contributed to wider regeneration objectives in urban areas and helped to sustain communities in small towns and rural areas.
Innovation
Hillcrest were amongst the first to pioneer the conversion of textile mills in Tayside for residential purposes. More recently we have experimented with creating higher energy efficiency houses, home zones and the treatment of public and open spaces espoused by Wayne Hemingway to improve the quality of place-making.
Our current focus is on improving development procurement and promoting modern methods of construction as ways to ensure more efficient and cost-effective development delivery.
