Hillcrest Tenants Move In

23 tenants moved into their new Hillcrest homes at a development in Oudenarde, Bridge of Earn last week. This is phase 2 of the development which includes a total of 103 houses.

Carol Annand, Hillcrest Community Housing Officer for the development commented that “We are pleased to see tenants moving into our development at Oudenarde as we are committed to the creation of affordable housing opportunities, in a range of sizes and tenures, for people throughout Perthshire and our development will assist in the relief of the current pressure on the housing market in Perth.”

Mr Marshall and Miss Bruce, who moved in with their 3 children were particularly happy to get their keys. They commented that “We’re delighted with our new Hillcrest house and are looking forward to settling in and making it home. The development looks great and the kids will make friends in no time as there seems to be lots of families around us.”

Part of the development is to be turned into an area for families to enjoy with their children. Carol Annand explained that “We’re pleased to have an area where families will be able to enjoy the outdoors. We’re going to work closely in consultation with tenants to see what they would like to see done with the space that we have and hopefully develop something that will be enjoyed by all.”
