Hillcrest win SFHA Award
Hillcrest Housing Association has won this year’s SFHA/Housing Scotland award for demonstrating what the award panel described as “excellence in environmental awareness and sustainability policy”.
In a very competitive field, Hillcrest was nominated for having developed and implemented a comprehensive policy on promoting sustainability into their everyday work. Having invited nominations on the theme of Climate Change, to coincide with the SFHA Conference, the panel felt that this was “exemplary and fully deserved recognition”.
On receiving the award, Mark Weglarski, Sustainability Officer said “Hillcrest is delighted to win this award. Hillcrest has a strong corporate commitment to sustainable development, and this agenda is fully supported by our Committee of Management and our group management team.
“Over the past two years we have worked to embed sustainability throughout our activities. This award highlights the progress we have made, and reflects the ongoing efforts of our staff to move our sustainability agenda forwards.”
