100% of Gowrie’s Projects Make the Grade!

Gowrie Care is delighted to once again announce a high standard of results from the latest round of Care Commission inspections. It is quite an achievement to report that all of their projects throughout Scotland have been awarded a grade 4 or above. This means that their services are classed as excellent, very good or good.

Damian McGowan, Managing Director of Gowrie Care Ltd, commented that “We are extremely pleased to be making an improvement on last year’s results. Continuous Improvement is very important to us and a number of services received the top mark of 6 as part of the process. 100% of our services have been graded good or above which is a direct result of our team’s efforts at providing a first class service. Five of our services achieved a full range of Grade 6’s (excellent) across all areas inspected.”

The purpose of the Care Commission inspections is to regulate for improvement. They aim to raise the standards of care in Scotland by involving people who are cared for, their carers and families, and working with people who provide care. Their inspections are graded making them more targeted and focused more on people who use services, and their carers.

Damian McGowan continued that “Although we have received a high standard of grades and made significant improvements in certain areas, specifically Angus, we will continue to work with the people we support and listen to how we can develop our services and continue to provide a first class service.”
