Enabling Fund
April 2008 marked the end of the first year of Gowrie Care’s Enabling Fund. This fund was established by the Board of Gowrie Care to administer grants to people who are supported by Gowrie Care to enable people to access a wide range of activities such as holidays, leisure, education and for people moving to new tenancies, shortfalls in grants from statutory bodies. Gowrie’s Board awarded nearly £7,000 in this first year and agreed that the scheme will be rolled forward for the new financial year.
