Multiple Needs Service, Edinburgh
Through our Multiple Needs Service we offer service users weekly visits to our organic allotment. This involves 2 hours of one to one working which allows service users to learn new skills and to build confidence, together with this it also offers a great space to relax.
The garden is a great asset for educating service users about the importance of a healthy lifestyle and the environment. It also allows service users to work as a group in the planning of the garden, and provides regular exercise.
What our service users say about the garden…
Although I don’t like fruit and vegetables I am going to bring some cream for the strawberries… I had only ever seen them in a supermarket before. Norman
It is so nice to have an opportunity to do something I would not try on my own not just because I don’t have a garden but I like the support to get there. I like everything about the garden and I am looking forward to the BBQ. Elizabeth
I remember the sounds of the birds and the bottles rattling on the canes, I also remember seeing a rare butterfly that I haven’t seen for years. Malcolm (Pictured above)
