How to fund your qualification
Clients who are registered under the Skills for Success Employability Project are entitled to one free qualification as part of their training. The options for this client group are REHIS Elementary Health and Safety, REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene or BCS Equalskills (basic IT course).
You might not think you can afford to learn something new or brush up on old skills but Individual Learning Accounts (ILA) can help.
Who is eligible for ILA?
ILA Scotland is available to people who are over 16 years of age, earn less than £22000 a year or are on benefits.
To apply you must be:
• A British citizen
Or
• A national of a member state of the European Economic Area who has utilised their ‘right of residence’
Or
• Settled within the UK within the meaning of section 33(2A)of the Immigration Act 1971
And
• You must be ordinarily resident in Scotland
